Everything you need to know about Bahamas

Bahamas vacations put turquoise water 30 minutes off Florida, from Nassau and Paradise Island's big resorts to quieter Grand Bahama and the barefoot Out Islands. The Bahamas is 700 islands, but most trips centre on Nassau and its neighbour Paradise Island, home to the Atlantis water park and the Baha Mar resort district, or on quieter Grand Bahama. The water is the draw, some of the clearest and palest blue in the region, with famous swim-with-the-pigs day trips. Fewer resorts here are all-inclusive than in Mexico or the DR, so many stays are room-only or bed-and-breakfast at resort hotels.
