The Iberostar story

Iberostar is the kind of brand travellers discover once and then quietly keep booking. A family-owned Spanish company with roots on Mallorca going back to the 1950s, it runs around 100 mostly beachfront resorts in various destinations.
What sets it apart is a clear sense of level. The resorts climb a simple ladder, from the easy, all-ages Iberostar Waves, up through the more polished Iberostar Selection, to the five-star JOIA at the top, much of it adults-only. You can move up or down that ladder without leaving a company you already trust, which is a large part of why people stay loyal to it.
Iberostar also takes the sea it sits beside seriously. Its long-running responsible-tourism program, Wave of Change, has pushed the group on plastic, seafood and coastal health, and it has become part of how the brand talks about itself rather than a footnote.
It is a Caribbean staple above all, strong in Cancun, Riviera Maya, Punta Cana and Montego Bay, with a whole second life waiting in Spain and the Canary Islands. Familiar and well-run, Iberostar is an easy resort brand to grow attached to.
